Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all carpet-cleaning and related services (“Services”) provided by Gold Standard Cleaning Ltd (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By booking our Services, the client (“you,” “your,” “the Customer”) agrees to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

1.1 Gold Standard Cleaning Ltd provides professional carpet cleaning and related services as agreed at the time of booking.
1.2 All work will be carried out to a professional standard using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse or stop work where conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, or significantly different from the description provided at booking.

2. Booking & Appointments

2.1 Bookings can be made by phone, email, or online.
2.2 Appointment times are approximate; delays may occur due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances, but we will communicate any significant changes.
2.3 The Customer must ensure that someone over 18 is present at the property for the duration of the appointment.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 All prices are provided at the time of quoting and are based on information supplied by the Customer.
3.2 Additional charges may apply where:

  • Room sizes exceed standard dimensions

  • Carpets are heavily soiled, stained, or require extra treatments

  • Parking fees are incurred
    3.3 Payment is due immediately upon completion of the Service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
    3.4 Accepted payment methods: [insert methods—cash, bank transfer, card, etc.].

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

4.1 Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.
4.2 Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee of up to 50% of the service cost.
4.3 Failure to provide access to the property at the appointment time may be treated as a cancellation.

5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 The Customer must provide clear access to the property and ensure areas to be cleaned are free of personal items and breakables.
5.2 We are not responsible for moving heavy furniture unless previously agreed.
5.3 The Customer must notify us of any pre-existing damage, loose carpets, or fragile materials.

6. Stains, Results & Limitations

6.1 While we strive for the best possible results, we cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains, especially those that are permanent, old, or caused by certain substances.
6.2 Drying times vary depending on carpet type, ventilation, and weather.
6.3 Shrinkage risks: Some carpets (e.g., older wool carpets) may be prone to shrinkage; the Customer accepts this risk when using wet-cleaning methods.

7. Liability

7.1 Gold Standard Cleaning Ltd holds public liability insurance.
7.2 We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or deterioration

  • Damage caused by incorrect customer information

  • Wear caused by normal cleaning processes on older or heavily worn carpets
    7.3 Our liability is limited to the cost of the Service provided.

8. Complaints

8.1 Complaints must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
8.2 We will return to inspect and, where possible, re-clean the affected area at no additional cost.
8.3 Refunds are issued only if we cannot reasonably resolve the issue.

9. Health & Safety

9.1 The Customer agrees to keep children and pets away from cleaning equipment and wet floors during and after the Service.
9.2 We may refuse service if conditions pose a health or safety risk.

10. Privacy & Data

10.1 We collect only the information necessary to provide our Services.
10.2 Customer information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England, and any disputes shall be handled in the appropriate local courts.

12. Amendments

Gold Standard Cleaning Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available upon request.
